The Sakura IdentiPen is ideal for use with
plant labels in outdoor pots. The writing is fade-resistant,
water-resistant and even alcohol-resistant (unlike Sharpie permanent
markers.) I've used the same Sakura pen for the past three years in
labeling my plants, with no problems yet.
IdentiPen: $2.50 |

Muslin drawstring bags
For sequestering flowers for breeding |
|
These muslin cotton drawstring bags can be
placed over your Dionaea and Sarracenia flowers to prevent insect pollinators from
accessing them. This is particularly useful when you intend to breed or
hybridize specific plants and you want the ability to choose exactly
what pollen is used to manually fertilize the flower. Not doing so may
lead to the inadvertant insect pollination of your flowers with the
pollen of other Dionaea and Sarracenia plants in your garden. |

4x6"
bags, set of 3, recommended for Dionaea: $2.00
5x7" bags, set of 3, recommended for Sarracenia: $7.00 |

Water Quality Meter
Measures level of total dissolved solids |
Dionaea, Drosera and Sarracenia, and to a
lesser extent Nepenthes and Pinguicula, require water that has less than
100ppm of total dissolved solids. Water that measures less than 50ppm is
ideal, and by using this handheld water meter you can ensure that you
water is of a sufficient quality to keep your plants alive and healthy.
TDS Water quality meter: $12.00 |
