Based on our first few months of operations, here are the most common inquiries we receive from our customers.

Communications

1.   If I place my order this morning, can I receive my order this afternoon?

COMMUNICATIONS

1. If I place my order this morning, can I receive my order this afternoon?

While we frequently do process next-day orders, we are unable to process same-day orders due to logistical limitations.     (back to top)

2. If I place my order today, can I receive my order tomorrow?
Barring extenuating circumstances, next day delivery is available. Because of our ordering process, the most expedient way to place a next-day-delivery order is by phone, as we will need to finalize both delivery location and time, as well as receive payment by 10PM for delivery the next day. (Please bear in mind our hours of communication, listed in the FAQ right below (#3).     (back to top)
3. I left a phone/email/Facebook message this morning. Why haven't I heard back yet?

For logistical reasons, our hours of phone communication are from 12PM-1PM and 4PM-10PM on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Likewise, our hours of email communication are from 5PM-10PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Our fastest responses are to voicemails on our main number, 347-GO-4-VFTs (347-464-8387). COURIER DELIVERY

4. At what times can my free delivery be scheduled?

We can typically do deliveries between 3:30PM and 7:30PM on weekdays. If those time ranges do not work for you, we will gladly work with you to find a time that does.

5. Can I schedule my free delivery on a weekend?

While we don't typically schedule deliveries on weekends, we do make occasional exceptions subject to our own availability.     (back to top)

6. None of the listed transit hubs are convenient for me.
    Can I take delivery at any other MTA stops?

Although our standard delivery locations are Times Square, Penn Station, Port Authority, Union Square and Atlantic Ave (Brooklyn), we can do deliveries at other stops in the MTA subway system as well. However, we may not be able to accomodate all requests. Give us a call and we'll see if we can find an alternate MTA stop that works well for us both.

Also, we do occasional deliveries to Brooklyn and Queens; please contact us if this would be preferred.

SHIPPING

7. I live outside of the five boroughs/New York. Do you ship orders through the mail?

Although it's not our primary method of operation, we can offer shipping of orders either through USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate for large orders, or USPS First Class Mail for smaller orders. Please contact us for a price quote.      (back to top)

8. I live outside of the United States. Do you ship orders internationally?

Unfortunately, we do not have the necessary permits to ship live plants internationally.

PAYMENT

9. I'm unable to use PayPal right now. What other methods do you accept?

While our preferred method is PayPal, we can, on occasion, accept cash payments on delivery. However, this payment method is typically, though not exclusively, reserved for repeat customers.     (back to top)

MIDTOWN CARNIVORES

10. Where is the Midtown Carnivores store located?
      Can I go there to buy/pick up plants?

We do not have a physical "brick & mortar" storefront, due to the costs involved. Our business model involves our bringing your plants to the location most convenient to you in Manhattan. That being said, we do occasional deliveries to Brooklyn and Queens; please contact us if this would be preferred.     (back to top)

11. Will you be carrying any rarer carnivorous plants than the ones listed?

While we are actively expanding the range of our selection, we will likely not seek to offer ultra-rare plants as standing inventory in the foreseeable future. While there may be an occasional rooted Nepenthes cutting or Sarracenia division offered, we are not looking to heavily expand into the realms of collector plants at this time.
