Nepenthes
|
|
The Tropical Pitcher Plants are can be found in the wilds
of Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra, among other exotic locations. Nepenthes
form scrambling vines, and the tips of its leaves form tendrils, which may
grow and inflate into functional pitfall pitchers. In most species, the
leaves of young plants form juvenile ground pitchers, while the newer leaves
of more established plants form adult pitchers, which may differ vastly in
appearance to the ground pitchers, depending on the species.
Our pitcher plants are grown in intermediate conditions, and fall into
two different categories: tissue-cultured plants and rooted cuttings.
