Policy Against the Sale of Harvested Plants and Material from the Wild
Latest version: 29 Mar 2012

We continue to support the efforts of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, the North American Sarracenia Conservancy and the many other organizations that seek to curtail and, if possible, stop the decline of carnivorous plant populations and their habitats in the wild. In accordance with their efforts, we will never support the sale of plants or plant material that is directly harvested from the wild. Likewise, we discourage the introduction of carnivorous plants as invasive species into habitats in which they are not endemic.

Replacement Plant Policy
Latest version: 01 Feb 2014

The cultivation of carnivorous plants is an exciting hobby that does require practice. If you are a first-time grower, and are having difficulty with one of the plants listed below within seven calendar days of receipt, we will replace the plant (one time only) and try to help you figure out what growing conditions can be altered to better suit your plant.

Please contact us by email or by phone (contact information at the bottom of every page) if you are having difficulties. Please be prepared to bring the plant with you to receive its replacement.

Due to the rarity of some of our particular cultivars and species, and the understanding that beginner growers should start with the more forgiving plants, we can only apply this policy to the exchange and replacement of the following plants: Dionaea muscipula 'typical.' Drosera capensis 'typical', Drosera capensis 'albino', Drosera 'Marston Dragon', Pinguicula unknown, Nepenthes alata, Nepenthes sanguinea, Nepenthes 'Miranda', Nepenthes 'gentle'. If a replacement plant is unavailable due to stock issues, a plant of a similar genus or a refund may be offered in its stead..

Purchase of a plant through our site is an acceptance of the terms and conditions of this policy, and the understanding that these terms and conditions may change.
